Rent
Still paying rent? On Average, people across America pay around $369.33 per month for rent, though we all know this number varies widely by location.
Of course, the number one thing you could do is move to a place with a lower cost of living, but we know this isn’t an option for a lot of people. The next best thing? Split costs with a roommate!
You can also approach your landlord and negotiate. You could extend the term of your lease, allowing them to not waste time looking for new tenants, in exchange for a lower rent. If your place came with a parking spot that you don’t use, ask them to lower the rent in exchange for it.
Remember, landlords don’t want to deal with rude tenants, they also don’t particularly like the process of looking for tenants. So it’s OK for you to negotiate these things, saving them time and money, too!
