1792 Birch penny coin
The 1792 Birch penny coin is truly one of a kind. This was the first penny minted in the U.S. and is any collector’s dream. It is said that the penny was also handled by both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, to add more reasons as to why anyone would want to have it in their collection.
In 2015, it was sold for $2.6 million by Kevin Lipton, a Beverly Hills dealer.
Let me tell you something. If I happen upon the chance to so much as hold this penny, I’m not washing my hand for an entire week!
1891 red seal $1,000 treasury note
If you want to make a collector lose his or her mind, mention the 1891 red seal $1,000 treasury note. There are only two surviving specimens, one of which sold for… you’re going to want to sit down for this one!
$2.5 million dollars!
I’d trade that $1,000 for $2.5 million any day of the week!
