Fabric Softener
Using fabric softener and dryer sheets has probably become a regular part of your laundry routine- and who can blame you?
But did you know there are more sustainable options out there that can save both your money and the environment? You can get reusable dryer balls for around$9 on Amazon. These work just as well, but you won’t be wasting as much money.
You can even look up fabric softener recipes online- most of these include vinegar and essential oils and they’re incredibly easy to make at home.
If you have a clothesline, try using that during the warmer months instead of your dryer. I’ve found that by doing this I feel much better about my environmental precaution, and my clothes always feel warm and pleasant to wear. Sometimes, they even have a fresh smell to them, so it’s definitely worth a try!
