Do you remember the groovy tune of Schoolhouse Rock’s “Conjunction Junction”? The joyous video about conjunctions was also a silly little look into the life of a railroad brake, signal, and switch operator which fascinated a generation.
Sadly, this job does not require any signing. Instead, it’s all about operating railroad track switches, coupling and uncoupling rolling stock in trains, and, last but not least, signaling engineers.
