Secret Costco price codes

There’s another way to save some money when you go shopping for groceries. As some of you might already know, Costco’s pricing codes can show you which item is specially priced or discounted.

All you have to do is pay attention and see which one of these cases applies. So, according to a Costco employee, it goes like this: Prices that end in $0.97 have been marked down a bit from the original rate, which is $0.99.

Also, if you see any grocery item at $0.49, $0.79 or $0.89, this means you’re dealing with regular-priced merchandise. An asterisk (*) in the upper-right corner means that the item won’t be restocked for a while and the prices that are ending in $0.88 and $0.00 are an indicator of a manager markdown.
