21. Anesthesiologists

While a surgeon’s job is to fix various parts of your body, let’s not forget another invaluable member of your operating team. The anesthesiologist administers pain relief medication while sustaining critical life functions.

It’s incredibly delicate work, and one slip could cause serious harm to a patient. They have to be in total sync with the rest of the team while keeping a very close eye on your vitals and how much medication you’ve already been given.

So if you ever have to go in for surgery, on top of thanking your surgeon, make sure to show your anesthesiologist some love too!
