Books
It’s time to finally take a good look at your bookshelves, even if you don’t feel like reading. First edition copies of certain books cost a fortune and all sorts of collectors are looking for them, from book lovers to interior designers who specialize in vintage goods.
Take a first edition copy of James Joyce’s ‘Ulysses’ which costs around $8,000. Only 1,000 of them were printed, but you may be one of the lucky few that own one. Collectors also say they keep popping up every once in awhile, so it might not be a stretch to find one tucked away on a shelf.
Of course, there are others that could be just as expensive. Look your books up online and see what they’re going for, you might be surprised, especially if you’ve inherited a bunch from older relatives!
