Money Can Severely Affect Your Mental Health. Here’s How!

Money is an integral part of life. It makes the world go round and, suffice it to say, if you don’t have money then you’re probably in a really dark palace, both physically and mentally. And we really mean that. It’s been found that as many as 60% of adults in America consider money to be a huge source of stress, according to the American Psychological Association.

But it doesn’t end there. Another study by the Money and Mental Health charity found that individuals who suffer from mental health issues are three and a half times more likely to have problems with debt.

So, money and mental health issues are related, which might make it seem like it’ll be impossible to improve your mental health if you’re in a bad financial situation. However, there is some good news. If you start out by identifying potential stressors in your life, you can become more at peace.

It’s not always about saving more or gaining more, it’s about your attitude and knowing how to relieve money related stress on a monthly basis, until you form healthy habits that will help you thrive.
