If you used to dream of becoming a rock star back in high school and spent all your allowance money on a Gibson then you might be sitting on a gold mine. Really, these classic instruments can sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars, like the Gibson Les Paul from the 1950s.

Because Fender and Gibson are the two most recognizable guitar brands, it’s not surprising that you could find them for such high prices online, especially on Reverb. Vintage guitars, in general, are a collector’s dream. Even lesser-known brands and models could cost hundreds of dollars.

Watches

Men’s watches, as opposed to women’s watches and jewelry, are a collector’s dream. Big-name brands such as Rolex, LeCoultre, Movado, Vacheron Constantin, and Patek Philippe are typical favorites, but collectors are looking for so much more.

They’re typically searching for watches that are hand-wound, golden or platinum, have more jewels, have stopwatch functionality, day and time as well as moon phases. Basically, the more complexity, the better.

Watch out, though. If you’ve got one of these bad boys and aren’t willing to part with it, experts say you’d do well to hide it somewhere in your home just in case! Yeah, people are that obsessed to getting their hands on one!
