Trust your abilities, not your possessions

Although it’s only natural to wish to purchase new and better possessions while you’ve reached financial confidence, don’t fall too much into it. You begin to wish for more luxurious clothes, cars, houses, and deluxe company.

It makes you feel good about yourself, makes you feel alive, and gives you a sense of wealth. While all of the above might come naturally, if you don’t maintain the same vigorous and sharpness of mind, you might lose everything.

Material things are never proof of wealthiness, but your abilities are. If you don’t focus on what got you there, one day it might slip through your hands.
