If you can do bookkeeping for businesses, nothing’s stopping you from becoming a senior accountant on the side. For $45 per hour, who wouldn’t want to work this kind of gig? It involves performing end of the month tasks, documenting transactions, preparing statements and preparing audits.
However, keep in mind that the truth is in the name. You’d only get this sort of pay if you already have at least 5 years of experience. But, again, you could look for smaller start-ups that would rather pay someone part-time if they don’t have the budget for full-time workers just yet.
