Smucker’s Uncrustables

Don’t panic! You might still find some of their products in stores. However, J.M. Smucker Co. has decided to stop the production, at least for the moment, of some of their reduced-fat and reduced-sugar frozen PB&J sandwiches.

As Lempert, the founder and editor of SupermarketGuru.com, said, this decision aligns with the trends that he noticed: “Many people prefer snacking, eating more comfort food and more sugar-laden food now.”

So oddly enough, reducing the amount of fat and sugar doesn’t really seem like such a high priority now. According to Lambert, it’s too soon to tell if it’s a dietary preference that’s gonna stick out in the long haul.
