Host an Open House

The next best thing you could do? Host an open house. This is a great way of attracting people who may not have even been interested in buying a new home. If they see a sign on the side of the road they might take a few minutes out of their day to check it out as opposed to looking for online listings. 

However, keep in mind that not all homes are eligible for open houses. If you live in an area with major traffic then, yes, you may expect a number of visitors. But if not, you could be putting up a sign for no good reason at all. Once again, your agent will know best, depending on where you currently live.
