Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt came from a very well known and wealthy family, which allowed him a proper education. In 1878, as a student at Harvard, he found out that he inherited a vast amount of money: over $1.3 million in today’s money.

So he had the right background to become a wealthy man, which would only improve after becoming president. But, for worse luck, he managed to lose most of his money through bad land deals in Dakota and he had to become a writer to pay his bills. This allowed him to earn some of his money back.

Of course, later on, he inherited a lot more. Is hard to know for sure how much money did Roosevelt had, but he is on top 5 richest American presidents

Summary: Before the presidency, his wealth is valued at $1.3 million (adjusted for inflation), and after it over $100 million(adjusted for inflation).

This next Presidents fortune was a family affair…..
