Con: Red Tape

Getting married is not as easy as it sounds. There is a ton of red tape that you have to consider- and not enough people admit to this from the get go. That’s because most married couples only paint the pretty picture, but leave out all the headaches of bureaucracy out of it.
Essentially, while you may be marrying out of love, a marriage is a contract and has to be treated as such.

And let’s not forget the headache the wife has to go through if she decides to change her name, or is expected to. Chancing her name and official documents is no walk in the park. Everything from her driver’s license to her social security needs to change.
