21 Jobs With the Highest Divorce Rates

13. Carpenters

Yes, you read that right. Carpenters also have a high divorce rate- reaching 13%! They’re known for working overtime, especially during weekends and evenings, meaning they get to spend less time with their families.

This is also a very accident-prone industry, so carpenters who come home injured and are short with their spouses may further hurt their marriage.

12. Medical Assistants

Before the age of 30, medical assistants have some of the highest divorce rates in the U.S. On average, though, they sit at around 14%.

Their demanding job, which they often take home with them, prevents them from having quality family time. They also frequent overtime workers and, in most cases, work over weekends and holidays as well. So not only is their time spent with their spouse cut short, but it’s also potentially still stressful.

To make matters worse, the median pay is only $32,480 annually, so it’s tough to overlook the disadvantages when their wages aren’t great.

  1. Many people don’t think through the challenges marriage takes, trust, financial, children, relationships, relatives, sexual, etc.

  2. I was surprised that Auto Sales Management and Sales people were not on the list. The hours are rediculous and unpredictable.
