Another way to avoid over-shopping is to plan out meals for the week. If you know exactly what you need, you’re less likely to buy stuff that’ll just go to waste. Try and incorporate foods you already have in your pantry and you’ll be good to go!

You should also be realistic about snacks. After all, we’re not robots. We can’t really dictate when we’ll feel the need for a sweet or savory treat and when the cravings come,  the last thing you want to do is raid your local store. Don’t go overboard but also don’t cut it too short if you think you’re going to have more troubles down the line.
