If you’re on websites like Monster.com, SimpleHired.com, Indeed.com or CareerBuilder.com you might be scrolling through endless pages of job listings. But you can cut your search by more than half if you make use of the advanced search options which will allow you to look for positions based on your location, radius, keywords, companies and job titles.

Now, if you’re in a pinch and willing to take any kind of job, not using this function might make you think that at least you’re looking at as many options as possible. But even then, if you at least limit the search to your location you have a better chance of finding something that better fits your needs.
