Jane Fraser, CEO of Citigroup

The first woman to ever hold the position of CEO of a major Wall Street bank, Jane Fraser is known in the industry as having paved the way for women in finance for years.

Before Michael Corbat stepped down in 2020, leading to Fraser taking up the position of CEO, she worked as an executive with Citigrup on top of being the company president.

In 2014 and 2015, she was names the “Number 1 Woman to Watch” by American Banker. Also in 2015, Fraser ranked number 41 on Fortune’s list of the 51 Most Powerful Women in Business, while prior to that in 2014, she was recognized as number 48.
