17. Registered Nurses

We all know by now that more women work as registered nurses than men. In fact, women occupy this job by 87.3%. In order to become a registered nurse you’ll need an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Women earn an average of $65,612, $18,000 higher than the median earnings of full time workers in the U.S. Not only that, but the job growth in this industry is a lot faster than in other industries, so you should expect to move up the ranks fairly quickly.

16. Public Relations Specialists

When a business, individual, or an organization has a positive public image, a public relations specialist is responsible for that. In order to become one you would need a bachelor’s degree in either communications, journalism or public relations.

Women in this industry receive $19,000 more than average women, taking home around $66,488. In this field, they also take up 63.1% of jobs.
